The School
St Joseph’s is a
Catholic girls’ school situated
in the centre of the business
and central district of Sliema,
one of the biggest towns in
Malta.
The Sliema
School was founded in 1881 and
catered for both boarders and
day students. It started with a
very small school population and
it has now developed into a
Junior and Senior School with a
population of approximately 700
students.
The school has
developed in size within the
limits of the site. Today the
Senior School has besides
classrooms, one Hall, one Media
Room, two Science Labs, two
Computer Labs, one Home
Economics Lab, one Art Room, one
Options Room and one PSD Room.
The school is
committed to offering the best
learning experiences to its
students and has invested
considerably in hardware,
software and staff training to
implement e-Learning. All
classrooms and laboratories are
equipped with projectors and ten
interactive whiteboards are
available in the senior section.
Projectors have also been
installed in all the classrooms
in the junior section and an
interactive whiteboard is
available too.
