World Youth Day Get-Together

On Tuesday 20th December, three members of staff accompanied Rachel Agius (3 Alpha), Anna Lynn Demicoli (3 Beta), Eleanor Gatt (3 Alpha), Elisa Lombardi (3A) and myself, to McDonalds after school for a get-together over some snacks. This activity was the first out of many being planned for the group attending World Youth Day (WYD) 2023, in order for us to get to know each other better and to start building a team in preparation for the actual trip to Lisbon. WYD brings together millions of young people from all over the world to celebrate their faith and sense of belonging to the Church. It also seeks to promote peace, unity and fraternity among people and nations around the world.

During lunch we talked about our families, friends and our hobbies, while the teachers gave us more information about what to expect from this journey. At the end we planned to meet again for a hike during the Christmas holidays.
